In Ghana, investment in tourism fits aptly into the Ghana Development Tourism Plan in terms of tourism Facilities and Services and the creation of employment and income opportunities in the country. On the other hands, the National Housing Policy has also created an enabling environment for the private sector to provide decent and affordable housing that is accessible and sustainable. This is further boosted by the policy direction of the government, democratically stable and the peaceful nature of the country as well as the naturally occurring disposition of the Ghanaian hospitality.
It is in the light of this that SKYWORLD RESOURCES LIMITED has been established to provide hospitality, affordable housing and allied services to its clients. This will be done through its maiden project christened the “SkyCity” – located at Nyanaw Mountain which is 1450m high at Nsawam and affordable housing at the foot of the mountain. In terms of proximity, SkyCity is closer to the national capital.
The construction of affordable housing at the foot of the mountain will enable SkyCity to have control of its surrounding and provide SkyCity permanent clients to achieve local owned visions and goals. The structural design of the buildings will be a blend of indigenous traditional designs with modern technology build up-top of a mountain, and the means to the facility is through a cable car/tramcar.
